A Champion for Diabetes.

With the World Champion Boston Celtics already back in training at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island, guard Ray Allen has more than just a title defense on his mind.  You may recall that Allen's son, Walker, was diagnosed with diabetes during the NBA Finals earlier this year.

Here's what Allen and his wife, Shannon, had to say about dealing with an NBA championship, controlling Walker's blood sugar, and raising funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.  (You may need to scoll down a little on the page.)

Just a couple of Mavericks.

I'm still laughing!

Hey Colleen! I had one of these years ago. It cost me very little money, and it got me where I needed to go. I saw one last night, and it was pretty hot. All things considered, I wouldn't mind having another!!

We had a Maverick, too! Back when I had the light blue duster, my new husband had a dark blue Maverick.

Mine was a '74 Grabber model with a 302 V-8 and a 3-speed manual tranny on the floor. It was white with the blue trim package and a blacked out grill. Fun car!
