"Spit-o-meter" Checks Glucose Levels.

More than a handful of diabetics would drool over the prospect of never having to stick their fingers with another lancet. If Lloyde Dahl, Darnell Johnson, and Danny Armstrong have anything to say about it, drooling is exactly what we'll all be doing in the future.
The three high school students from the Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig School in Bemidji, Minnesota teamed up to design a glucose meter that uses saliva in place of blood. As part of a program called "Inventors of the Future," the boys saw a need for being able to determine glucose levels without the pain of finger sticking, and decided spit was a pretty pain-free alternative.
No word on the accuracy specs of their "Spit-o-meter" yet (sorry, that's my name for what they're calling a "Diabetes Saliva Analyzer,") but my hat's off to the trio just for their entrepreneurial spirit.
