Wow--that's powerful. I'm glad this story went to print. Also, I love Joe Solowiejczyk. He's a wonderful diabetes educator, and I feel honored to have met him in NYC a few years back after learning about him from D-life. He's a cool guy, and a T1.

Very apropo response! Too often, doctors tend to view themselves as Gods, neglecting the fact that teaching someone to live with a chronic condition is really a far cry from actually making them better. They need occasional reminders, and its great that this reminder came from a kid!
